Drawing

The design drawing for Measure 31/20L, dated August 15, 1944, for the USS Charles Lawrence class of high speed transports. This pattern used irregular greens and brown in a mirrored pattern port and starboard. This particular drawing is difficult to interpret because the darkest green and black panels are very close in black and white tone. The original may have been in color and the panels could be more easily identified.

See Master pattern for 20L.

See APD-37 silhouette in color.

The first drawings of Design 20L was for LCTs on July 25, 1944, then drawings for Design 20L for (APD-37) class were drawn using Measure 31 colors on August 15, 1944, as above.

Original drawing source: NARA 80-G-177461 and 80-G-177462.
