Drawing

The drawings for Design 32/3Da for the John C. Butler class destroyer escorts are shown; the added “a” indicated a variation in the 3D Design. The date was November 3, 1944, and the colors were navy blue (5-N) ocean gray (5-O) and light gray (5-L). The deck was deck blue (20-B) with no pattern. There was no stern view that would show how the 5-O and 5-L should meet. Also, there was no bow view and the whaleboats were not shown. No destroyer escorts are known to have used this version of 3D.
