Camouflage Measure and Design was assigned in 10/11/43 ComServPac letter #0937 to the BuShips which assigned camouflage Designs to most ships in the Pacific Fleet.

The USS Jenkins (DD-447) on September 15, 1944, bombarding Morotai in support of the invasion. Although the photo is dark and Jenkins is in shadow, the camouflage Design 6D can be detected.
