The drawing for Design 32/5AS for the USS Bushnell
(AS-15) a Fulton
class subarine tender dated April 12, 1944. This drawing was drawn by Lt. Cmdr. Dayton R. E. Brown, a camouflage expert who had been assigned to the Fleet Maintenance Office of Service Force, Pacific Fleet. Brown may have also drawn the designs for USS Indiana
(BB-58), USS Colorado
(BB-45) and USS Maryland
(BB-46). The vertical colors were pale gray (5-P), haze gray (5-H) and dull black (BK). The deck was deck blue (20-B) and ocean gray (5-O).
This is the only drawing for Design 5AS.
