Notation

Indicates the date that the Bureau of Ships sent to the ship or shipyard drawings and instructions to paint that camouflage design. That directive was usually followed and camouflage completion photos were returned to the Bureau. For the rows that are marked red, no verification memos or photos have yet been found.
Indicates the earliest date that memos or photos confirm painting in that design.

Footnotes

A July 11, 1944 speedletter #01996 from Commander in Chief Atlantic Fleet (CinCLant) requested BuShips to paint all destroyer escorts under construction and assigned to Atlantic Fleet in camouflage 32/3D.
Assigned to Design in Commander Service Force Pacific Fleet (ComServPac) 10/11/43 letter #0937 to BuShips.
Reassigned to a new Design by the BuShips 6/10/44 memo to ComServPac that listed ships that had been reassigned from the 10/11/43 letter #0937.
DE-741 was sent Design 32/10D on 1/4/44, however, notes indicate that the drawing may have been late to the shipyard and another drawing may have been used; photos reveal DD-741 used Measure 31 colors.
DE-744 was sent Design 31/11D on 1/26/44 and DE-744 reported camouflage completed to ComServPac with photos taken on 4/20/44 showing 31/24D. The BuShips 6/10/44 memo to ComServPac listed DE-744 as having been changed from 31/11D to 31/24D.
DE-747 was listed in the BuShips 6/10/44 memo to ComServPac assigned to Design 32/14D, but was sent Design 32/16D on 5/29/44.
