USS Little (DD-803) on September 1, 1944 in Puget Sound wearing dull black, ocean gray and light gray. This has been labeled Measure 31, but the lightest color is light enough to be light gray and therefore Measure 32. There is a slight hint of the deck pattern visible on the bow. Little was crashed by four kamikazes off Okinawa on May 3, 1945, and sank within minutes. Photo source: NARA BS 70692.
Another shot of Little from the starboard taken on November 7, 1944 in Puget Sound. Little was commissioned on August 19, 1944. The lightest color still appears to be light gray. The whaleboat is missing from the starboard side. Photo source: NARA BS 74021.
