Footnotes

A July 11, 1944 speedletter #01996 from Commander in Chief Atlantic Fleet (CinCLant) requested BuShips to paint all destroyer escorts under construction and assigned to Atlantic Fleet in camouflage 32/3D.
DE-143 was sunk in the Atlantic by a torpedo from U-802 on August 2, 1944, while wearing Measure 22. There is no evidence as to whether she ever wore 32/3D.
A July 23, 1944 speedletter from Commander Destroyers Atlantic Fleet reported that DE-332 and DE-333 had been painted in camouflage 31/3D and that DE-334, DE-399 and DE-400 had been painted in camouflage 32/3D in order to compare the effectiveness of Measure 31 and Measure 32.
